  1. The MCing at Mass is an annoyance to me too. We have a hymn board, but the cantor still announces everything. I can’t blame the cantor because she is only doing what Father wants her to do. He’s been known to repeat himself if we don’t say ‘Amen’ loud enough to suit him. I love him and appreciate his orthodoxy, but he’s a little too ‘active participation means doings lots of stuff’ for my taste.

    Also annoying to me is when the cantor raises her hands during the responsorial psalm. I mean we do this every week, we know what to do, we don’t need a prompt. But every cantor does this, so they must teach it at cantor school. ;)

  2. I looked in the iTunes feed and it doesn’t seem like this latest episode is downloading.

  3. Yes, there seems to be something “gone awry” with our website and subsites! We are trying to nail down the problem now.
