I’m late listening to a good many podcasts, but wanted to say something re: Fr. Roderick’s comment about his black clerics being so easy to wear and hide stains. A few years ago we saw Cardinal DiNardo at St. Joseph’s Day Mass and dinner afterward and those attending him very carefully covered him with what looked like a big tablecloth before he could begin eating the spaghetti dinner. They didn’t want anything getting on his robes!
