We were living in CO at the time and I was still snoozing in bed that fateful morning, but Tom had gotten up earlier and had The Today Show on TV in the other room. He came in telling me I needed to get up and at the same time turned on theTV we had in the bedroom so I could see what was happeneing. I remember just sitting there in bed frozen at the horror of it all, not believing that this was actually happening. We went to church and prayed with our daily communicants, then spent the rest of the day glued to the news reports.

I was downtown on 9/11. I have recurring dreams on a regular basis. For a hint of the difference between watching it on TV and being there, see my blog, and entry called “Going Downtown”.
